Shetland Bereavement support service was established by a Shetlander who found there was no specialist bereavement support available locally. Thanks to her determination and commitment, SBSS was established, and has been supporting Shetlanders since 2007.

SBSS is keen for anyone with lived experience of bereavement to get involved with the service.

We have many volunteering opportunities available, from Trustee to Fundraiser, please see our leaflet below.

We are also interested to hear your views! Let us know what you think of our service:
Are we getting it right?
Could we make improvements, or offer new services?

Your feedback is extremely important and helps us shape future delivery of the service.
Feedback can be made at any time by emailing the service at sbss@shetland.org
